McCall Anniversary Trip
This last weekend, Daniel and I escaped Boise and headed two hours north to McCall, Idaho, our favorite getaway spot. Last year, we spent our honeymoon in McCall at the Shore Lodge, so for our first anniversary this last Sunday, we thought it would be fun to go spend a couple nights away—just the two of us.
We sipped hot cocoa every chance we could get, dined at some of our favorite McCall spots (Steamers, Paradise Burger, Growler's, Stacey Cakes, and of course—The Pancake House), watched football while overlooking the lake, warmed up in their lakeside hot tub under the icy rain, battled at the Foosball table, and even watched a few movies! It was a wonderful anniversary celebration.
One year. Amazing. This is just the beginning!

Sounds like a fun little getaway :) Nice that you were able to go again
Happy belated anniversary! That year went fast! Looks like McCall is paradise!
Happy belated Anniversary, guys! I'm so happy to see you both so happy and glad that you got a couple days away from your busy lives. :]

How wonderfully cozy! I love the fireplace - perfect place to spend some time curled up with a hot toddy and a book!

Sparkles and Shoes
Ooo it all looks beautiful! Love the photo of both of you looking comfy while still keeping your shoes off the bed ;) Happy anniversary!
Happy Anniversary!!! Everything looks so nice right about now. I am so ready to just get the heck out of here and escape reality. Just the Hubby and I, maybe the dogs too.
Oh that pizza looks Heavenly! Happy anniversary!
Happy 1 year anniversary to you and Daniel! I can't believe it's been a year since that gorgeous wedding of yours. :) Also, congrats on joining the National Guard!! You are such an inspiring person and I can't wait to hear more about how it all goes! (I almost panicked when I read the title of that post because I thought you might have to move away!) So happy for you and your little family and all the good things that are happening. :)
That place looks so beautiful! Happy anniversary!
Looks like the perfect weekend! Happy Anniversary!
This place looks incredibly awesome! I would love to visit it one day, especially the Pancake House, their food looks to die for! Glad you two enjoyed yourselves! :)
How wonderful! I love it!
This place looks so cozy and sweet! You guys are so sweet! I am so excited for what's to come! :)
It is... a winter paradise! It's so empty this time of year, so we really enjoy it because the staff always spoils us ;)
Thank you! It's kind of weird to go away and have NOTHING on your schedule. It's comforting! But in the end, we are always excited to get back to our normal lives :) It makes us thankful for the hustle and bustle sometimes.
It sure was! We kept saying we needed to go back and play scrabble by it, but the hot tub won in the end :)
Oh and they were! We always get hot chocolate everywhere we go!
Yes!!! You noticed! At home we have a "no shoes" policy, too! Right before dinner that first night, I set up the camera and went and jumped on the bed for a quick shot. I didn't plan on using it, but it was a fun one, so why not?
Sounds like a perfect getaway. I say you should make it happen!
Yum! It sure was! We did a "make your own" with green peppers, sausage and mushrooms ;) yum!
Anna, thank you so much!!! I know, a whole year. It feels like so much has happened, but it also feels like it was just yesterday that we were getting married. I can't believe it. And no----thank goodness! That was one of my biggest reasons for choosing the Guard over the Air Force. I get to stay RIGHT HERE. Phew!
It is! They have the most GIANT cinnamon roll you've ever seen for $4. It's giant and DELISH! Thank you again!
So pretty.
