The cold front that came through Boise last week turned our neighborhood's waterfall and pond into a frozen winter wonderland. Though the temperatures during the day have been hovering in the 30's, the early morning 20's are starting to get to me. I'm looking forward to the warm front that is said to be heading our way this week!
If you're ever curious—no idea if you even are—but you may notice that every time I wear a scarf it looks like it's an infinity scarf. I actually only own 2 true infinity scarves. All the rest are normal scarves and pashminas that I tie to resemble an infinity scarf. If you lay a rectangle pashmina or scarf out on the ground and tie just two of the opposite diagonal ends, leaving the other two ends free, it works so nicely. I'm usually able to wrap my standard pashminas three times, pulling the un-tied corners to the front to make a "V" at the bottom of my scarf. I like using fringed pashminas the best, because I like that the tassles hang loose when I wrap it. For me, the bigger the scarf—the better!

Love the frozen waterfall. Perfect backdrop.
The frozen waterfall looks so lovely! I love the shirt and scarf combo! Super cute
Thanks Carly... Daniel suggested we just do the photos yesterday in our neighborhood, and I didn't think we'd find anywhere to do it... good think we drove to our little park! :)
Thanks Brittany. It might be my new favorite :)
Awesome questions, Jenn. Daniel takes most of my photos, if I'm in them. If I'm not in them, I'm usually behind the camera. He knows what scale I like, for instance in the tall shots he knows how much space I like to have above and below me, and for the close-up shots, I usually tell him what to focus on, but he does all the rest.
He takes about 10 pictures and I usually narrow it down to 3-5. I don't usually EVER edit OR crop. I'm too lazy for that. I don't edit, because I like the photos to be as real as possible, and honestly, the extra few minutes to brighten a photo just isn't something I take the time to do... so sometimes you'll see some of the shots may be a little bright or out of focus, but that's OK by me. I don't have a fancy camera or fancy editing software, so what he takes is what we use :) I like to keep it easy :)
You're welcome. Did it make sense?
It's hunting season here in Northern MN/WI ... my husband and FIL sat out in 0*F with wind chills reaching -20*F all weekend! :) It's warmed back up to ~30*F today, thankfully!
I love the outfit - especially the contrast in the scarf and bright shirt!
I'm obviously not very stylish cause I've never heard of pashminas. And I have yet to own/wear an infinity scarf (despite the fact that friend makes/sells them on etsy)... for some odd reason I feel like I couldn't pull it off. I do want to find a cute scarf though for my new navy peacoat. Hmmmm? :) Anyway... Great outfit- love the coat with the scarf together.
And if you need photos, let me know. I'm sure I could whip up a little collage or something and instagram it :)
Thanks! Can you believe it's in my little neighborhood? What a sight for cold winter eyes :)
OH MY GOODNESS.... how does he do it? Props to him!
Thanks, Michelle!! IT sure does make the berry color of the shirt pop :)
Pashmina... it's like a fringed shawl. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pashmina they're
sold EVERYWHERE... Mine was $5. You could TOTALLY pull one off! :)
Loving your hair today! And love the boot and jacket combo! Cute!
Totally with ya on the scarf thing! I tie all my scarves, and sometimes tie two small ones together for some variety... :)
Infinity scarves are the best kind! How do you give your hair so much volume?! I recently cut mine about your length and it falls so flat.
I love the color of your sweater, so pretty!

I absolutely LOVE this outfit! You are SO dang pretty girl! I am so jealous y'all have a winter wonderland going on. We were suppose to get snow and sleet sunday night, but it skipped right over us. I love winter time because of it's white beauty!
Thanks for the scarf tip! I like to tie mine too, but I wasn't doing it like this! You look gorgeous in these photos!
I just tried this and it looks amazing!! Such an easy and great tip!
