The leaves in the pictures are so pretty... but they took hours and hours to rake up this weekend! I wore that dress to church and then it was home we go for all sorts of projects. Dusting, raking, leave-bagging... oh how fun it is! At least the weather behaved for us—it's much more pleasant to rake leaves when it's 40 degrees than when it's freezing, right?
One extra detail about this outfit: the adorable "R" ring (for my last name Rowe) I'm wearing is from a company called My Name Necklace. They make personalized sterling and gold pieces, and offer everything from necklaces to bracelets to earrings—you name it. I was particularly fond of their ring selection, and knew that a tiny ring, which I turned into a knuckle ring, was going to be the way to go. Here's a tip: I read that when you're looking for knuckle ring sizes, pick a size that's 3 sizes smaller than that finger's normal ring size. So since I'm a size 6 ring for my middle finger, I ordered a size 3 knuckle ring and it fit just perfectly. Oh, and if you shop My Name Necklace, be sure to use code AUNIE for 10% off!

Love the jacket! You seriously have a great smile. :)
This is making me want to buy the leather jacket I had passed over in a consignment store... :)
Super cute! I love that jacket
You are so freaking cute Aunie! That jacket is perfect for fall :)
I love the R ring and red leather jacket!
We're doing leaves this weekend and I am SO not looking forward to it!
You are so adorable! I just absolutely love your hair! Wish I could pull it off. And that dress and jacket look great together!
Thank you so much :) It's a big honor :)
hi Aunie! just been reading through a whole lot of posts I missed, and had to say hey! there is totally totally nothing wrong with having those pieces you love and wear and re-work constantly. honestly I find it more interesting than an endless closet that keeps re-filling itself. I think I have this same jacket, btw.
also I think I've said it too many times before but I loved reading through your marathon tale! so glad you could run it with your mom. but two races back to back? girl, you are crazy. take it easy easy. maybe get in to some zumba ;) take care!
perfectly priya
You are beautiful! I love this outfit!

Girlfriend, I totally understand. I did that senior year and swore, never again. And the funny thing is, I cut it so I couldn't wear it in a pony tail all the time because that's all I ever did.
Oh my goodness I love your hair and that jacket is beautiful! Great shots! Susan
Does your husband take all the pictures of you?! I love them!! That ring is adorable too!!
I loved this dress when you bought it, but what a nice way to convert it to office or work wear! Love it!
I love fall but I never look forward to the raking! You look incredible! I love the lace dress with the red leather jacket! And that midi ring is gorg!
Haha, no, it was $14. But the color was between tan and pink...didn't look right. I'm thinking I might just buy it and dye it brown. :) It's a little scary to dye things though, because you never know how it's going to turn out...luckily this is fake leather, so no big deal. :)
you are the cutest. and if I haven't said it already, I love your short hair!!!
Love the dress and jacket combo!
Oh thanks! That especially means a lot... it's almost grown back to my original short length. Cutting it short-short was a mistake ;) I like it to fit in a ponytail!
Thanks Kelly!! It had just started growing a little longer when I cut it shorter than my chin, and what a hassle that has been. I'm loving this in-between length now ;)
Susan, thanks so much!!! I really appreciate that ;)
Thanks Sarah! Yes, he usually does. Occasionally his dad or brother will help me out if Daniel isn't around but yep... if I'm in a photo he's usually the man behind the camera ;) We keep it simple. No pro shots here :)
The raking is my least favorite part, too! To be honest, this was my first time ever doing it... and I know it won't be the last :)
Well good luck! You'll have to let me know how it goes!
