MY DAD IS GETTING MARRIED! Congratulations, Dad & Karen!
Dad, when you called me and told me last night, I was overjoyed for you. This wedding has been years in the making and I'm so excited that you asked Karen to be your wife. I couldn't be happier for you, and I teared up when I learned that Stewart was going to be your Best Man. That's just too perfect.
Karen, WELCOME TO THE FAMILY... officially, anyway. I know you've been part of our lives for many years and we love you! You make Dad so happy and we're thrilled that you guys are tying the knot. Can't wait to celebrate your big day with you!
Their wedding is tentatively planned for next summer in McCall, Idaho and I am already excited for the big day. My dad said it wouldn't be a big wedding, but considering that they have friends all across the US, I'd imagine they'll fill Shore Lodge to the brim. Plus, they know everyone in McCall, so I imagine it will be a party of a lifetime.
Here's to you, Dad & Karen. Congrats... or more appropriately in Norwegian, "SKÅL!"

They are VERY happy. Like, the best companions. They golf, boat, eat, watch golf, cook (well he eats her delicious cooking)... all of it together! So fun :)

It is! Have you been to Shore Lodge? They have a cabin up there and spend half the year there. They know EVERYONE :) It's just quaint and lovely up there.

Yes! He is 100%! My grandma, who lives in Ballard, has the strongest Norwegian accent :)

yeah!! i dated a boy in college that was from Boise, so I was able to check out Shore Lodge and Sun Valley. both are fantastic, but McCall has a sweet spot in my heart.
Oh how neat! What a small world, huH? McCall is just so special. Did you go to Ice Cream Alley or Mile High Marina? Any places you loved? We just adore that little town.

Wow that's awesome. I am Norwegian from my dad. He used to sing to me in Norwegian alot. His grandparents came over on a whaling boat. Supposingly, there is still family over in Norway. I hope to go over and visit one day.
It's amazing over there! I went when I was 9 and got to meet my Grandma's whole family. It's a really, really beautiful & scenic place.
I really want to go and visit. A part of me wants to live over there.
