In April 2013, Daniel and I drove from Boise, Idaho to Palm Desert, California. I took so many photos & video clips while we were there and was able to upload the photos and show them off here right away, but sitting down to put together the video of our trip took me a bit longer. It wasn't the making of the video that took a long time, it was finding the time to do it!
While on our week-long vacation, we visited Joshua Tree National Park, the Indian Canyon hiking trail in Palm Springs, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, The Living Desert, and on our way back to Boise we checked out the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. If you can't tell from the video, we LOVE lizards & wildlife! I hope you enjoy the video, watching it brings back all the amazing memories we had.
My absolute favorite part is found at 0:28—that look melts my heart each and every time. The song in this video is "Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel, and it was on the "Palm Desert" play list that Daniel made for us to listen to on the way down there. After requesting to listen to it over and over again while on our trip, I knew it was the perfect song for the video.

My husband and I went to California for our honeymoon in July 2011 and we also went on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway! Such a beautiful spot. Loved the video! Brought back lots of good memories. :)
Thanks, Shannon! Wasn't the tramway the neatest? It's unlike anything I've ever done before... up up up and then BAM it's like you're in a whole new world! What a great spot to honeymoon. Did you make it to Disneyland on your honeymoon?
This sounds great!

I know what you mean! It was crazy hot down at the bottom and then we got off on the tram up top and it was just this beautiful, comfortable weather. I remember the trees the most, because they smelled like butterscotch!
We didn't do Disneyland actually, we went to Universal Studios and Six Flags instead. We we are definitely more interested in going on rides, than seeing shows. We actually flew into San Francisco and drove the coast to LA. It was a perfect honeymoon.
It was such a fun trip. I feel like a huge slacker for waiting so long to post it!
How romantic! I've never been to Six Flags, but you're totally right... the rides are where it's at!
Oh my goodness, I loved this video! The view looks beautiful! My favorite part was the giraffe's - you were able to capture some awesome images. The song is great too!
Don't tell, but I had to sneak into where they do the private feeding to get that! There was a man with me and he kept watch :) I didn't touch them or get too close, but I did cross over a rope to get there. But man, that footage is great!
