This past weekend, I did something that I never do—I went shopping—and bought something, in fact, for the first time since Daniel and I were married on December 1. Did you read that? I went shopping. And the more important fact? I bought something. Do you ever wonder why many of my clothing items don't come with links—like those ripped boyfriend jeans? It's because they're so old!
I didn't realize that it had been that long since I've purchased anything. I'm telling you, I don't go shopping. Not even online. So this weekend when I got styled at Apricot Lane and walked away with not one, but two things (this sweater and a jean jacket), it felt good to break out of my non-shopping bubble. Plus, who can say no to a bright and versatile mint-striped sweater? Not me!

You look super cute!! Love the shoes!
Aaah love that sweater!
I'm not a shopper either! I think that's why I love seeing how you style things :)
I'm the same way. I don't go shopping mainly because I feel guilty and think I can spend my money on something more productive. I window shop frequently, even online, but it's just to get ideas for what I can do with the things I already have. When I move to Arkansas in June, I want to invest in a sewing machine and start altering things.
It's a great sweater, tho :)
I love the mint cutouts and how you styled it with these shoes!

Great sweater! I wish I could refrain from shopping, but I have no self control!
So cute! And oh, it's so green there. We're still emerging from winter. BOO.
I love you hair color more every day! (if that is possible) ... Top knot tutorial soon pleeeaaase?
GORGEOUS!! Love the entire outfit!
Aunie, beautiful hair bun! And wow! It looks like summer down there!
I want that sweater. The sandals (which I have seen soooo many times!!) the jeans... oh heck... I WANT IT ALL!!
You look great :)
I've got to say you were meant to have that hair color. It looks fabulous. Smart man you have suggesting it. Wish it were warm enough for sandals here.
This is my kind of outfit. I love those jeans, even if they are old. I'm a terrible shopper too...But I get sad when I attempt to go, and can't find anything... haha
You look fabulous, i love the sweater!

I hope there's a tutorial for that topknot coming up soon! :)
OOh I love those multiple piercings!! So cute!
You're so pretty! And that is such a cute/comfy outfit!!! I need to get one of those.
Thanks! You know, they're from Target and they lasted me all last summer and I know they'll make it through this one, too. I Love when affordable & durable go together!
Oh, Altering things sounds so fun! I think I enjoy fashion and style blogs so much because, just like you said, it gives me ideas for how to style things. It's fun revamping old items with a new twist!
Thanks! I didn't even realize until looking back that the sweater is mint and the sandals are turquoise... but oh well! You win some, you lose some :)
Target never does me wrong... they totally make affordable look so good!
Hey Callie! I'm so happy to have you! Comfy is totally my go-to... now I get to go check out your blog!
Thanks Ginny! You should see these jeans when they're unrolled... they're total highwaters! But definitely a score. I think they're about 7 years old! :)
You're so sweet! My buns always look different... but you're right. That would be a simple and fun one to do. I'll add it to my to-do list :)
You're so nice, Leigh-Ellen! Thanks! My coworker said to me today, "You were born to have nothing but THAT hair color." I never knew what I was missing!
That's the worst. I tell you. You get all excited to FINALLY go shopping and then when you do it's so discouraging! I will be sending good-shopping vibes next time you go!
No way! You have the cutest shoulder crop ever! My husband wants me to have YOUR haircut! :)
Someone else suggested it, too! I've added it to my to-do list!
I really really like that sweater!
