My hair is always doing something different... wavy, braided, curly, twisted, or all slicked back & out of the way. The style always seems to match my mood. In honor of my brand new blonde-to-brunette hair change, I've compiled a fun little list of what my hair is "saying" on a given day.
My hairstyle says:
- All down & Hollywood curly: This took a long time so I must be going somewhere where I want to look goooooooood.
- Loose, messy braid: Let's keep it low-maintenance & playful, this hairstyle is for the girls.
- French braid: Don't pay attention to me today.
- Tight ballerina bun: I mean business.
- Messy bun: My hair is really dirty, I hope no one notices...
- Hat: My hair is really really dirty. I knew I should have washed it.
- Ponytail: Feelin' sporty.
- Top knot: I am a blogger—take my photo. (Hence, the photo above... obviously).
- Pinned bump on top: I know my husband hates this, but it's so convenient.
- Wet so it can air-dry: I just don't care today.
- Side ponytail: Feelin' sporty & chic.
- Updo: Must. Be. Fancy. Updo. Means. Fancy.
- All down & straight: Finally... just me & natural.

That picture is so cool! love the sun spots! And honestly, I've never given my hair that much thought. if it looks bad, it's up. If it looks good, it's down!
Had to laugh at the hat one, it's so right! My hair is curly, and at the moment, super short, so the message I hope it sends is: "Spunky!" :P
haha, I love this. It's interesting how we all have hair styles for different moods/states of hair cleanliness. When my hair is down, it's freshly washed. When I clip my hair back it's not cooperating and/or slightly dirty. A ponytail is my "I hope no one notices how dirty my hair is" look. And a bun means my ponytail keeps getting in my way! If my hair has any style to it, such as curls, a braid, etc, it means my sister got her hands on it and styled it for me :)
That's cute. My hair lives in a top knot, well it has recently, but I actually hate taking photos! If not a top bun definitely down and straight, which like you would be "just me &natural".

Loved this! Why do men hate the bump? I love it too, but I rarely ever do it bc the hubs dislikes it.
I have naturally wavy/curly hair and these days I tend to me the 'wet so it can air dry' girl. Sometimes I'll leave it down to air dry, or I'll just roll it and put it in a lowish ballerina bun. It's so easy and effortless. All down and Hollywood curly is my go-to style for when I'm going out - whether it just be to dinner or a girls night out.
I don't typically wear my hair in too many different ways. Ponytail means I must be going to work or home from work. Down and curly means I have the day off and I'm going for relatively low maintenance. Straight means I spent WAY too much time on my hair and I also must have the day off. Top knot means my hair is probably dirty.
I don't think I am familiar with the bump? Anyway, my hair doesn't really vary. Given that its short, it pretty much looks the same every single day. Boooooring, I know.
Such cute hair!

Hahaha those are all the same things my hair "says", especially the hat... I wear a hat to work sometimes and that is exactly what I think the whole night!
I have two styles: up and down. haha! I wish I could be more playful, but my length/hair type doesn't allow me to be!
My hair isn't a representation of how I feel....it's a representation of how many times I pressed the snooze button that morning!
Here's my Thursday 13: http://readyornotbyhannahscott.com/?p=267
Particularly like 5 and 12. That's how my brain works too. Going somewhere special 'must do an updo' (why does my phone keep changing updo into iPod)
Hahaha! My husband HATES the bump. I can't wear my hair like that, so I don't really care. If an attractive woman has her hair like that, a bump will cancel that out. Hahaha!
Haha! Very cute! My hair says many of the same things in those styles you mentioned! :-)
I think my hair says a lot of these things too!! Made me laugh :D
So jealous that your hair gives you options haha!!
I really want little tiny hoop earrings like yours! Don't suppose you got them online, did ya?
Haha, yes! I do a lot of these, too :)
Lucky! The last one sounds really fun! I think my favorite way to wear my hair is all out of my face... in a high ballerina or messy bun where I just don't have to worry about it at all!
Don't they realize how easy it is for us to just pin that little bit back? I don't know why they hate it so much!
I'm envious of your curly hair! I bet achieving volume is a snap for you!
Ha! I'm the same way except with the straight part. If my hair is curly, that means I spent a long time... unless I friar tucked it!
I don't know the actual name for it. The bump is the front pieces of hair pinned on top of your head... an example would be like this: http://brittanie2216.hubpages.com/hub/How-to-do-the-bump-hairstyle. And after researching it just now, I guess it's just called "the bump!" Ha!
Oh I wish I could wear a hat to work! I wear it at the gym or when Daniel and i take the Wrangler out and he hates it! :)
I bet you could add tiny twists & braids! I dare you to try it! :) Have a great day Whitney!
Ha!!! That's the best! And thank you so much for sharing your Thursday 13! I love your post idea, "Things that made today beautiful." I might have to steal that from you... because it's wonderful to just look back and go "wow, I'm so thankful." Thanks again Hannah!
oh, autocorrect. at least it was ipod and not a curse word! :)
haha that's always a blessing! and that totally made me laugh. if i see an attractive woman but then something that he's not a fan of (super-high heels, lots of skin, THE BUMP) I'm like, welp! No big deal! :)
Hey Lesley! You know, I actually ordered them off ebay a couple years ago. I think I searched for sterling hoops and just got the tiniest ones I could find. They're the kind with the hole in the hoop so it's like a continuous circle when it's in. I have 7 ear piercings, so I just ordered 4 sets of them!
