You know what's fun?
Sisters.
You know what's even better?
Sisters who are best friends.
I'd consider her my bestie, but I feel inclined to say she might give you the eye-roll if you asked her (right, Marn?).
This past weekend, I got to spend a lot of time (though still not enough) with my sister and her husband, Andy.
We went shopping, ate a little Blue C Sushi, I tried mochi for the first time, and I even made my first-ever trip to Ikea.
I bought nothing, but Marnie and Andy filled their cart with lots of home essentials, including a bright-orange umbrella.
I'm telling you, it was a must.
They just moved into a house that is literally across the street from Green Lake in Seattle.
Saturday afternoon, we crossed Green Lake Way and took the 20-second walk down to the lake.
Had it not been freezing, I may have snagged a couple decent photos.
But hey, look at that sister of mine... is she cute or what?
Love you, sister. You too, brother Andy.

This makes me wish I had a sister. :( I got stuck with brothers. My brother has turned into a big jerk, my step brother is a super creep, and my half brother is only 8 years old. I'm so jealous that you have a sister that is also your best friend. It must be nice!
I have 2 sisters and could not imagine my life without them! One lives far away but I talk to her daily. The other is close and I see her everyday. They are the best! Also, I.LOVE.Ikea!! Best store ever!

I always wanted a sister, I'm lucky to have a great relationship with my brother, but I'm sure it's just not quite the same. (Adorable umbrella too!)
Sisters are pretty awesome, I hope that as mine gets older we can also get closer, it is kinda hard with the age difference (10 years)
so fun :) how close are the two of you in age? my two sisters are 6 and 8 years younger than i am but now they are quickly becoming my best friends (it took awhile :)

I love hanging out with my sister :) We live together now so occasionally we spend too much time together, but it's better than not having her around at all. You two look a lot alike too, just like me and my sister. It gets slightly annoying when people stop us and ask if we're sisters, or worse, twins. At least I know I'm cute! ;)
My sister is my best friend too. I don't know what I would do if my sister lived in another state. Wait, yes I do. I'd move in next door, haha!
Aw so sweet! That umbrella was a must, I totally agree. And I cannot believe you made it through Ikea without buying anything, I've never done that in my life. And I've been to Ikea at least 50 times. Yikes...
Sisters are great! I have 5--one just visited yesterday with my brother and we got to see a movie and go swing dancing together.
We don't get to spend time together often now that we're busy, but isn't getting together with and spending time with grown-up siblings so much fun?

Sisters are the absolute best! Since we are kids, everyone think my sister and i are twins. You never spend enough time with family in my opinion :)
