Boise greeted us with a cloud of fog this morning.
It was a little eerie, but definitely made it feel like the end of October.
It was the kind of weather that made me want to curl up on the couch with a cup of cocoa—
not trudge my way through traffic to the office.
But oh well. It must be done.
That's kind of how I've been feeling a lot lately.
It must be done.
I wouldn't say I'm stressed, but maybe a little overwhelmed with wedding plans.
I'm embarrassed to tell you that.
I want to seem so on-top-of-it. So carefree. So "this is easy."
Actually, it is easy. I just wish I were a little more carefree.
Or maybe that's just it, maybe I'm too carefree.
Because to me—it's not about the frilly decor or what we're wearing or how we have our hair.
It's about us.
Either way, I have to say, the help I've received so far has saved me.
The cake (thank you, Meghann), the flowers (Ashley, you're precious), the time.
I'm so thankful.
See, I am not an event person. I don't like planning them... at all.
It's not my thing.
So planning my own wedding is just torture.
BUT—I'm doing it. And honestly? It's rather fun.
Checking things off day after day.
Counting down the days until we say "I do."
It's all really exciting.
But most of all, more than the dress, the cake, the centerpieces, the honeymoon—
I'm just excited to finally be Mr. and Mrs. Rowe.
No more "fog."
Just to be us.
Officially.
Forever.

I sometimes feel I'm in "phases" or a fog sometimes..
But it's okay I've learned. It's all about learning through the experiences. (:
YOU'LL BE MRS. ANNELISE ROWE SO SOON!!!!
xo
Mrs. Rowe sounds lovely :)
There something about seeing Mr. & Mrs. Right next to e/o that makes me smile:) have a blessed day!
I know it can be frustrating, boring, exciting, time-consuming, fun, and so many other things. Planning a wedding is quite the emotional journey. ;) I'm so excited for you! Daniel will be home soon, and the big day will be right after that!
It can be overwhelming, but just keep remembering that it's about you all only. and sooner than you know it, everything will be planned out and you'll be enjoying your beautiful day!
I always felt like that too during the wedding planning. I really wasn't into all the planning, I was just so excited for the marriage. I did love the engagement, and all the time I was able to spend with Jared though. We did everything together, late nights listening to songs to dance too, and tasting cakes... that part was fun :) You'll be Mrs. Rowe, oh so soon!!
Can't wait to see all the perfect things you come up with for your wedding day girl! It will be perfect and it really won't matter where certain things got done in time or not. Because it will be perfect knowing that you married the guy you loved!
Can't wait to hear all about it!!!
Much Love,
L
When I was planning my first wedding I hated it - there was so much drama and I wasn't very good at all the PLANNING.
Maybe the 2nd time around will be better?
I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying it though. Not too much longer!
I didn't much enjoy planning my wedding, but when we stepped out of the chapel with all my friends and family cheering us on, I breathed a huge sigh of relief and had a fantastic day - that's the best bit, promise!
I loved our wedding, but the planning was a nightmare! I say enjoy the process, don't stress about it. Regardless of what you eat, what you wear and where it is, it's still going to be the most perfect, magical day, because you're marrying your love!
Aww, Aunie Sauce Rowe. Has a nice ring to it. ;)
Aww I can't wait to get married!!
You are such a beautiful writer... I sound so corny saying that but I just thought you should know.
Oh, and the thought of planning a wedding puts me in a fog too. Woof.
For the most part, that's how I felt with my wedding as well... I enjoyed the planning process, but once it got closer and closer to the day, I was just ready to have it over with and be married to my husband! my advice, is really try to enjoy everything. It only happens once.
