The Story Behind Aunie... and Brie!

Well, it's the beginning of a new month and I'd like to say a big "HELLO" to all my new saucy friends!

If you're new (or even if you've been here a while),

I thought you may want to know where Aunie came from.

So here's the story!

I normally don't do nicknames. 

Ana? No. Lisa? No. 

But when I was 10, I met a girl who decided to call me Aunie (ah-nee), 

and as she was (and still is) my BFF, I let it slide. 

When I met my boyfriend's parents, they refused to use my real name. 

I was "Little Miss" and other nicknames until one day I admitted that I had a friend who called me Aunie.
They were smitten (with the nickname, of course), and I was officially "Aunie."

Now... every month, I have the pleasure of letting one lovely lady
take over my blog for the day.
Today, you get to meet Brie.
I'll let her do the talking, but let me just say...

Hello to all of you saucy ladies!
I'm Brie. That's me up there posing awkwardly in downtown Phoenix.
I live in the beautiful state of Arizona.
And let's just set one thing straight...
I'm a Sun Devil (ASU), not a Wildcat (BOO! of A U of A).

I'm pretty excited to be here today because Aunie is just freakin' awesome.
I personally think if she were a flavor of sauce it would be something like Honey Hot because she's really sweet and little bit spicy. Mostly sweet.
