It's Thursday and what does that mean? Thursday 13! Today's theme (linking up on All Things Lovely) is 13 Facts About You. I chose to tell you 13 facts about my ACTIVE self! Enjoy!
2. I enjoy riding a longboard. I own a Sector 9.
3. I ran track through high school and part of college. I got really sick before each race (yes, like throw-up... or... um... other stuff) because I was actually fairly decent and there was always so much pressure to win! See the photo below? That girl and I were both anchors for our college's 4x4 team. She was about to find out what my "kick" was. I always had a kick at the end of races.
4. My best race was the 800, but my favorite was being the anchor of the 4x400 relay.
5. In 2010 when I worked for Bodybuilding.com, I was on their softball team. I really only cared about my fun socks (pictured below) and hanging out with friends. When a ball came soaring at me in the infield, it terrified me.
6. I can leg press 530 pounds. My legs are definitely my strongest body part.
7. I wear crazy outfits when I work out. I am always wearing either wacky pants, neon tops, or super-bright shoes.
8. If you know cheerleading/tumble talk, I can do a back full. No, not standing. But a round-off backhandspring full? No biggie.
10. On average, I work out 5-6 days a week. 1 personal training session, 5 bootcamps, and sprint intervals after every workout. I also dabble in racquetball on occasion.
11. I'm super competitive when it comes to bootcamps at my gym. When it's the "go as hard as you can and when you finish it you're done" kind of workouts, my goal is to kill it. Those kind of workouts are my favorite.
12. Last year, I went from 150 pounds to 125 pounds in 3 months. I was working with a personal trainer and eating really well. Somehow, I gained all (plus some) of that weight back. I'm currently working on losing it again.
13. As I told you yesterday, I can do a back tuck (backflip). Want proof? Deal! (Video 1 has no sound--oops--and video 2 is in the dark... but has sound, my apologies in general for both).

After having my son I've really neglected it and it sucks getting back into shape.

Good luck on losing that weight again! I wish I could do cool stunts like that!
Omg girl!!! I had The same Problem in track! I would get sick before EVERY meet! Bc of the pressure! My family still makes fun of me for it..but I wOuld win! I did the 300m hurdles and mile relay! And I was the last leg too! I'm gonna have to watch your videos from today and yesterday later bc I'm at work right now hehe!
We have a lot in common then! I did track (I did hurdles and 400 dash & relay), I was in gymnastics and cheerleading (I only succeeded ONCE in the back tuck)And I was the tumbler on my squad! I can still do the round off back hand spring to this day! 31 year old mother of 2.. flab and all! BAHA~!
Ah I loved your videos LOL I will live vicariously through you because i would hurt a lot of bones in my body (a.k.a. ALL) hahahah if i even attempted that! LOL hahahaahahah
I wish I was as motivated as you to stay in shape! I'll exercise and then give up after a week! I need someone to workout with me!
The back tuck was awesome! I wish I would have stayed in gymnastic and learned things like that.
dang goooorl you are one fit mama!! and you have style! love the colorful running atire ;)
I was a track legend as well :) I always hated the feeling before a race but the feeling after it was always rewarding! I ran quite a bit of races 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, & the 200m was my thing along with high jump! I also ran cross country throughout high school and was on a 3rd place state winning team! That was quite an accomplishment for me! haha Oh the memories, I sure do miss track!
You are quite talented! My legs aren't quite as strong as yours but they are for sure my strongest body part as well. My arms...not so much.
Holy moly girl, you're IMPRESSIVE! I love all the different things you do to stay in shape.
Do you have any fitness tips for someone getting back into shape as well?? Last year I went from 175 to 150 in three months due to a weight loss challenge but I didn't lose it in a healthy way...I just stopped eating and ran a LOT. I'm trying to be healthier!
I ran track all through out high school and ran 4x4! 4x2 was my favorite but my personal best was always the 400. Love your list!
awesome list! way to promote getting out there and staying active :) and, as a former cheerleader myself, i give you much props on your back tuck(s)! do you ever miss cheering when you go to sporting events like football games? i know i sure do...
Way to go girl!! Keep up the good work! I wish I had your motivation. Mayne one day I'll get the kick in the butt I need to get back into shape :)
<3 Jamie
There is absolutely no way I could still hit my tuck. Omgsh but this sure makes me miss it!
I'm so jealous of this entire post. I've been trying to lose weight and get more active and I love for like a week.. and then I get bored or something and lose motivation. I'm really trying to lose weight because I've gained a ton from my medicine. Also.. I want to see the back full! I love love love gymnastics :)
I need to get on your work-out regime, because I want to be ripped like you! I'll compromise and forego the tuck, but your muscle? YES! You are awesome, Aunie.
One thing to say. WOW. A such cute wacky outfits
I'm way jealous of your workout regimine! I need that motivation..seriouslyyyy!!
