Just Because Friday: Graduation Day

My sister and I graduated from college on the same day.
She graduated from the University of Idaho.
I graduated from Boise State University.
Unfortunately, both of our schools scheduled graduation on the same day.
That's convenient, right?
No.
We had to make a decision.
Either we had to have our parents split up and attend our graduations separately,
or something else had to be done.

I made a choice.
I skipped my graduation,
and my entire family headed up to Moscow to attend my sister's graduation.
We were all together, celebrating our special day.
It was fabulous.

Oh—and for the record.
We are NOT twins.
She is 1 year and 6 days younger than me.
We ended up finishing school at the same time because I transferred schools
after my freshman year, and then also changed my major 3 times.
Biology → Athletic Training → Health Education & Promotion = Graduation.
That can set you back... just saying.

Happy Friday

That is so awesome of you! I probably would have done the same thing too. My graduation ceremony was nice, because my class was so small, but it's the memories DURING college that I'll hold dearly, not necessarily the graduation itself. The best part of that day was the party with friends and family afterward, anyway!

Just another reason I think you're awesome, Aunie!

That is an awesome story! I LOVE it! I took some extra time in college, too: I transferred and changed my major once, but that didn't set me back too far. What really set me back was moving out on my own, taking a second job to pay for my groceries and dropping to part-time student! I'm glad I stuck it out and finished- and I wouldn't have met my husband if it weren't for the obstacles. Also? I didn't attend my graduation, either! By that time, I was too busy planning my wedding to worry about a cap and gown... and I don't regret the decision. =)

This is fabulous. I also took 5 years to graduate college. Nothing wrong with that! And I never changed my major. Ha!

Great blog!

That is awesome of you and my brothers are also very close in age. They are 11 months and 24 days apart. So one was born on July 6th and the other one was July 30th. All 5 of us have birthdays in the summer- two in July, two in August, and one in September. :)

I'm not sure if I counted the days right. Oops. They are at least 11 months apart though.

Banks gain from the interest that you pay therefore when you borrow the bucks;
you have to pay it back with a persons vision since it is how they've created their profits payday loans deciding in the event the loan is truly necessary should be a consideration.
