Joshua Tree.

6am on Friday, April 20th brought with it an adventure
When most people go to Joshua Tree, I'd assume they hike, rock climb, visit the oasis,
or just drive around and look at the pretty Ocotillo Garden, Cholla Garden, or Joshua Tree forest.
But Daniel and I?
We did all of the above... and went lizard hunting.
Yes. Lizard... hunting.
We didn't just want to look at them sunning themselves on the rocks.
We wanted to catch them.

And catch them we did.
Chuckwallas, side blotches, horny toads...
all of the above.
We caught about 6 lizards total,
and released all of them right where we found them, of course.
Clearly... we like lizards.
We thought of it like we were visiting Dobby's cousins.

Let me tell you... it's not as easy as it looks.
We spent 7 hours catching lizards.
It was the best-spent 7 hour adventure I've ever had.

OMG! I love lizards too and my 4 year old niece does as well. In fact she loves lizards so much this happened:

Niece: Mom I saw lizard eggs this morning.
Sister (niece's mom): Really?
Niece: Yeah, I cracked it so they could come out then I talked to them.

Poor lizards but I really find what my niece's innocence so cute :)

You so should have brought Dobby a friend home! I'm sure you can't just take a wild animal home though (and of course it's not right) but hey, it was an idea! Haha. 7 hours of lizard hunting sounds like fun haha. I bet you guys got burnt!

Looks like you had a blast. I wish I had some where close to go hike or do something similar to what you did. That's the down thing about living in the city or a state w/no mountains.

We use to live in 29 Palms and go to Joshua Tree National Park all the time! My husband was stationed in the Marine Corps out there. Aww, these photos make me miss it so much! You guys a lil crazy for catching lizards though haha I love it!
