We. All. Have. Them.
Yes.
Pet peeves.
If I offend you--
I apologize...
but (1) other people probably agree with me
and (2) if you're offended you're probably the pet-peeve offender!
And either way... this is a fun one.
Enjoy!
My pet peeves are:
- When people leave the toilet seat up (I put this as #1 because, um, Mister Daniel... we are going to have issues if this is not resolved by the time I move in).
- Loud, obnoxious laughter. Oh. My. Goodness. I definitely can think of TWO people who, when they laugh— I want to smack them! (Is that too harsh?)
- Sagging pants. GROSS!
- Littering. There is absolutely NO REASON to litter. Ever.
- Grocery carts left in the middle of the parking lot. I mean... really, people? Are you THAT lazy? I have a friend who has admitted to doing this... it drives me bonkers.
- Solicitation phone calls.
- Disorganized, cluttered desk messes. I don't know how people do it!
- When people say, "I know, right?!" after every single sentence. I'm sure you have a friend who does that.
- "Crop dusting" in public places (like a meeting, or store). Come on... take it outside or to the restroom.
- Poor grammar and misuse of the following: you're and your. Two, to and too. There, they're and their. IT'S NOT THAT HARD!
- (Pet peeve removed due to offensive nature). I sincerely apologize for offending anyone by this posting.
- When people heat up stinky things in the microwave at work that end up stinking up the whole office... especially when you tell that person that their stuff smells!
- Misuse of the words "gay" and "retarded." OK-- really fast... there is NO EXCEPTION to this. By calling something "gay" or "retarded" when you're really referring to it as lame or stupid is incredibly offensive. I think this just may be my #1 biggest pet peeve.

haha I love this post. Your animation is too cute as well!
I agree with you on the disorganized clutter, as well as most of all your other pet peeves :) People these days!
I love this post! I agree with you!
I love that the first comment misuses "your"...I sure do hope it was on purpose, lol.

These are awesome pet peeves!
#9 & #13 - agreed. those two are at the top of my list, too. both make you sound uneducated. particularly, #13. i feel like preteens speak like that because some have grown up hearing peers say those things and don't know how to express their feelings/emotions otherwise yet. nonetheless i hate when i hear people use those terms out of context.

Ugh - my husband does the crop dusting thing on the bus all the time. On purpose.
He's built like a football player...6'4 weighs 300 lbs...no one is going to accuse him...but everyone knows he did it.
I love him, but that is mean.
Aunie, I love this list, and I have a special reason for agreeing with #13. I have taught art and other classes in a Saturday program for adults with developmental disabilities for seven years, and I can't imagine NOT being involved. My students and my experiences with them truly inspire me. They possess just as much depth as any other person on this earth. Alison :)
P.S. I discovered your blog last week. I am really enjoying it thus far!
These are some really good ones!
One of mine is when people go just slow enough in the left lane that you can't get by them. SO ANNOYING!!!
I'm completely guilty of #7. Seriously, my desk ALWAYS looks like a hot mess. Here's to hoping I can change that ASAP. Also, #13 is pretty much my number 1 pet peeve. It makes me cringe when it happens!
Being lesbian & also having cerebral palsy, #13 REALLY erks me deep down. My friends say it all the time around me, but I don't say much, since they'll be like, "Oh it's just a word! lighten up."
My Mum is getting much better at not using 'gay' anymore, though. Step in the right direction. :)
HA! I hate the stinkiness in the microwave too!
Hehe. Totally understand yours (i think i used that right) and you write them up so well. After reading your's (argghh, now I'm getting paranoid), I wish this had been Thursday 25.
Trie true true
ummm totally agree! and my husband totally always calls it crop dusting... and is guilty of doing it and then 1. blaming me or 2. announcing it to everyone. bahhh so gross!
Jumped over here from Sugar & Dots! LOVE LOVE LOVE this list. MY #1 is also your #1 pet peeve! Please for the love of all things holy stop using those words to refer to things. I teach children with disabilities and I KNOW for a fact that most of them have more sense then the people making these hurtful comments!
Becoming a follower :)
and I'm going to email you for the Thursday 13 questions too!
I think I know who you're talking about with a couple of these...I'd better watch it or I'll end up on one of your lists! :)
lol..cute post!!

I agree with almost all of these! I especially agree with the 'gay' and 'retarded' comments...I don't like it one bit. Oh, and the shopping carts in the parking lot; so lazy!
Haha I saw the comments above about my mis-use of grammar, and yes it was on purpose. ;)
You hit the nail right on the head with all of those. I couldn't agree more!
